Use three kinds of notes
Separate stable mechanics, conditional patterns, and one-run observations. Only the first category should be written as a rule without qualification.
A screenshot of a room proves that room existed in that run. It does not prove where every player will find it.

Track transitions
An anchor becomes useful when you record where it leads: an elevator, a doorway type, a vertical change, or a known fallback room.
Keep the chain short enough to remember during a retreat. If a branch breaks confidence, return to the last confirmed transition.
Reject fake certainty
A fixed-route article can look precise while sending players into a different generated layout. The correct response to uncertainty is a conditional guide, not a confident invented map.
Update the route model when repeated runs or official patch notes provide a stable rule.
