Review the last run first
The Outpost is where extraction becomes persistent progress. Ask what ended or limited the last run: survival, carrying, combat, route knowledge, or crew coordination.
Choose a purchase or placement that addresses that bottleneck or enables the next planned objective.

Separate function from decoration
The game supports rebuilding with recovered furniture, but not every object should be treated as an upgrade with a verified effect.
Record whether an item is functional, progression-related, or decorative on the current patch before assigning strategic value.
Keep a simple upgrade log
Write the upgrade, reason, patch, and result after the next run. If it did not solve the problem, identify whether the assumption or execution failed.
This turns the Outpost into a tested decision system rather than a collection of remembered preferences.
