Write the objective in one line

A useful objective can be completed or abandoned: retrieve a useful Outpost object, test a Vessel, learn one layer rule, or gather saleable loot.

Avoid goals such as 'get rich' or 'go deep.' They provide no point at which the crew can say the run succeeded.

The briefing should happen while the crew is safe and every role can be changed.

Assign what cannot be duplicated

Confirm who carries the essential tool or support item and who has spare capacity for furniture. If the game build or crew size changes, review the assignment rather than inheriting last run's plan.

The official listing supports solo and online co-op, but a solo loadout and a four-person loadout solve different coordination problems.

Choose the abort rule

Agree on the health, resource, threat, or separation condition that triggers retreat. The rule must be understood before the first emergency.

If the crew ignores the rule, stop adding objectives. Re-establish formation and route awareness before continuing.

A regroup point is useful only when every player recognizes it.
